Gifted: “The Word Gifts”

Word Gifts in Action: 

• _________________:  Sent ones.  Bring abundant life to new spaces and leave churches in their wake [Acts 4:32-37]. 
• _________________:  Apply truth.  Bring life to others through encouragement and application. [Acts 4:36; Acts 11:28] 
• _________________: Influencing others.  Moving a group towards a God given vision, or goal, that helps the body of Christ accomplish God’s plans for the group [Acts 4:5-13] 
• _________________: Sharing the Gospel effectively.  The special ability to share Jesus in relevant ways to unbelievers so that people repent and receive Jesus.  [Acts 8:26-31] 
• _________________:  Clarify truth.  Bring the Bible to life for others and help them understand it [Acts 17:10-12]. 

• _________________: Providing consistent care.  The special ability to assume a long-term personal responsibility to share Jesus’ presence with a group of believers through all of life’s experiences [Acts 18:24-28].

Gifted: “The Power Gifts”

 

 

Foundational principles for empowering our spiritual gifts:

The 3 “Spiritual gifts” Categories 

• Love gifts:  manifest the love of God in practical ways.
• Power gifts:  demonstrate the power, presence, and reality of God.
• Word gifts:  clarify the nature, action, and purposes of God.

Gifted: “Gifted for Greater” 

[John 14:1-14; Ephesians 4:7-16] 

 

A clear vision of Jesus reveals we are gifted for greater:  

 

·      Jesus ________ the Father and how we can move from _______________Him to really knowing Him.  (John 14:1-11) 

 

·      Jesus ________ Himself, therefore the Holy Spirit empowering Him is also available to empower each of us as His followers.  (Philippians 2:6-7) 

·      Jesus is our Savior, Lord, and ________ for fully living (Matthew 3:13-17). 

 

·      When we ________________, we walk with Him into greater works for His glory (John 14:12-14).
