For Freedom: “Approval Issues”
- Approval issues are a Gospel issue. [Galatians 1:6-7; 10]
- The Gospel is the way to life and a way of life
- Approval issues rob me of my freedom. [Galatians 1:10; 5:1; Philippians 4:11-13]
- Jesus sets me free to experience my real: identity, belonging, and purpose. [1 John 3:1; Matthew 11:28-30; Hebrews 12:1-2]
- When we lay it down and let it go, we trade in being liked for being loved.
Next Step Questions:
- Are approval issues robbing you of the freedom the Gospel gives us?
- Will you release it all to Jesus today and embrace His freedom?
- Will you “lay it down and let go” today and receive His love for you?

Organic Disciples: Consistent Community:
- Organic outreach is the natural result of a life overflowing with Jesus
- Disciples of Jesus are salt, light, and witnesses to the world of God’s love. [Matthew 5:13-16; Acts 1:8; John 3:16-17]
Disciples of Jesus naturally share Him with others as they B.L.E.S.S.:
B: begin with prayer [Acts 4:31]
L: listen with care [Acts 8:30-31]
E: Eat together [Luke 5:27-32]
S: Serve in love [Luke 10:30-37]
S: Share the story [John 4:28-30;39-42]
Sharing God’s story is as simple as:
GOGO: God’s love, our problem, God’s solution, our response
THE ABC's: Admit, Believe, Confess
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:20
Next Step Questions:
- Will you come to Jesus today?
- Will you share Jesus with your “plus one”?
- Will you boldly BLESS others?

Organic Disciples: “Humble Service
"1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."
- Philippians 2:1-8
Next Step Questions:
1. In what areas of your life do you struggle with pride? How can you seek God’s grace to overcome it?
2. What specific acts of service can you perform this week to demonstrate humility and love for others?
3. How can we, as a church, foster a culture of humble service and support each other in our spiritual growth?
