Wholehearted worship is an invitation to experience God in all of life.

 

 The truth about wholehearted worship: 

God is worthy of worship. [Revelation 4:10-11] 

 

• Wholehearted worship is the lifestyle of a disciple. [Hebrews 10:23-25] 
• Wholehearted worship changes the pattern and path of our life. [Romans 12:1-2] 
• Wholehearted worship overflows naturally into all of life. [Colossians 3:15-17] 
• Wholehearted worship is contagious and not circumstantial. [Acts 16:25-34]  
• Wholehearted worship invites intimacy and reveals identity. [John 4:16-26]

- Make it conversational.

- Make sure it isn’t about performance. 

- Pray for people, with people, by faith, and according to the Bible.

 

Passionate prayer repositions us to receive God’s abundance [Ephesians 3:14-21]

Bible engagement grows us faster and takes us further with God than anything else.

• The Bible is a gift and our greatest tool for growth. [2 Timothy 3:16-17]
• Jesus loves the word of God and the world. [Matthew 4:1-4; Matthew 22:36-38; Matthew 27:46]

Four steps to Bible Engagement:

1. Love the Bible       (Psalm 119:97)
2. Know the Bible     (Psalm 1:1-3)
3. Follow the Bible   (James 1:22-25)
4. Share the Bible     (2 Timothy 2:2, NIV; Matthew 5:14-16)

1. How can I know I am growing as a disciple (follower of Jesus)? [Ephesians 4:13-16; Galatians 5:22-23]

The four generations:

• Generation 1- “Paul”: we need a spiritual mentor.

• Generation 3- “Reliable People”: We are called to invest in the journeys of others.
• Generation 4- “Those they teach”: We are called to invest in others who follow Jesus.

3. What is the relationship between discipleship and evangelism? [Matthew 28:19-20]

 

The Relationship of Discipleship and Evangelism Evangelism and discipleship are not enemies.

Evangelism and discipleship are not just friends.

Evangelism and discipleship are marriage partners.

Pathway At Home End Of Year Service: Go and Tell

• [Matthew 28:16-20]
• The sent one, sends us from victory so that His light shines bright [Matthew 28:16-18]
• When you “go and tell” you are guaranteed to experience God
• [Matthew 28:19-20; Galatians 3:26-28]

What does it mean in “real life” to “go and tell”?

"Go” = in everyday, ordinary life

“Disciples” = follow Jesus and help others do the same

“Baptizing” = celebrating life change “Teaching” = tell others everything you know about me

“With” = I am among, after, and with you in it all

1. How would your life change if you focused on being a “disciple” of Jesus this year?
2. How would your life change if you were to “go and tell” this year?
